In this seminar I will give an overview of our group’s Tour on nonlinear optical properties carried out in the last ~5 years. I’ll briefly describe the methodology based on Wannier interpolation that we employ to describe various phenomena, including the bulk photovoltaic effect and Floquet processes. I’ll then show a few material examples, including recent work on altermagnets and the role of spin symmetries in shaping their optical response.
